June 6, 2007 Pizza and Pints!
Our pub is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Stop by to try our gourmet, hand-tossed, sourdough pizzas. Dan’s eleven-year-old sourdough culture makes up the crust with eclectic toppings including: scallops, three kinds of mushrooms, and onions caramelized in our stout. We generally have 6 – 8 beers on tap, most of which are not available outside of the brewery. So stop by to try our special brews and take some home to enjoy as well!

June 28, 2002 New Trout River Growler Policy
We encourage you to refill growlers you purchase. You save money by using a clean growler that is ready for refilling–the price is now 6 dollars every day for most of our beers. Seasonal or specialty beers are priced higher. If your growler is not clean and is swapped for a new one, the price will reflect the $2.00 growler return. We only accept rinsed and cleaned growlers for returns. Damaged (cracked, broken, chipped and the like) growlers are subject to the Vermont 5 cent return as they cannot be cleaned and reused. Thank you!

June 28, 2002 “Trout River Island” Survives Flood of 2002
It is with great relief that the brewery survived the flooding that devastated parts of Lyndonville on June 12th. With fifteen inches of water in the pub/retail shop, the water stopped at the back door, covering the loading dock but never reached the production area. And during all of this, Brewmaster Dan Gates finished the double batch of Rainbow Red he was brewing.
“I’m going down with the ship,” Dan maintained (in a Scottish accent) throughout the day. Committed to completing his brew, Dan, Laura, and Assistant Brewer Jason Hatch moved as much of the packaging, malts, and equipment to higher ground as possible. Trout River’s losses were, fortunately, minimal compared with nearby businesses.
